Hi! I'm Anna Cuciurean-Zapan

Born and raised in Upstate New York and now based in East Village. Discovered my love of writing during creative writing time in fourth grade. Joined my high school newspaper in tenth grade and became head editor senior year. Moved to the concrete jungle to pursue music, journalism and the study of people. Graduated a semester early during the fall of 2021 and am now finishing up my second year of grad school and working on my thesis. By drawing upon theoretical insights from music business, social geography, feminism and queer studies, ethnic studies, critical race theory, and cultural studies throughout my academic track, I've gained observational, analytical and research based skills. My professional experiences in the editorial, marketing and public relations industries taught me proper market analysis across the media, influencer and brand communications landscape. Currently pursuing my love of the music industry, fandoms and overall obsession with social media culture. Constantly curious, personable, energetic and ready for whatever comes my way.
